My conversion to Samgirl is... yeah. It's complete. Sorry, anti-Samgirls.
I need more Sam icons, I think. I have space aplenty!
Anyway, I figure Dean gets enough love and hugs and fangirling, and frankly? Dean kind of gets on my nerves. Leave me the stubborn, John-like, stupid-head, floppy-haired, gigantic, demon-blooded asshole, okay? You can keep your single perfect tear and your pretty face and your wobbling chin and whatnot.
Then again, Jump the Shark made me like John a hundred times more, so I guess it's the episodes that make the characters seem like gigantic assholes in some circles that make me love them more. It seems more... realistic, maybe? Then again, maybe I liked that episode because I have daddy issues and could relate to Adam.
Anyway, I really, really enjoyed the episode. It's the first one in a VERY long time that made me actually set my computer aside and watch with, like, rapt attention (no seriously, the last one that GOT me was 4.09). It was a little choppy at times, but on the whole, I was into it. I found the commercial breaks jarring.
I really tried to write some good coda, but the writing-fu is still broken all to shit. It's such a compelling bunny that I desperately want to write but just can't. I'm sorry, Belle, but I deleted the post and am shelving it.
My favorite part of the episode, all of this aside, was one odd, quiet little moment. An actor's detail touch, really. It was after one of the hallucinations, when Sam's just lying there in the panic room, strapped down (I don't remember which hallucination, and possibly it was even after he came to after the seizure-thing that they strapped him down for in the first place), and he half-heartedly tests the binds on his wrists. And then a second later does it again, with even less effort. And then sighs and relaxes back with such weary resignation? THAT WAS MY FAVORITE PART.
Good job, Padalecki. You've come a long way from Dean Forester.
Now hook me up with a download so I can watch it again!

(your icon... why is his neck divided in two different colors? It's yellowy like his face at the top and normal-skin-colored at the bottom. I don't understaaaaaand!)

(It's cause he's special.. No I have no clue, probably shadow from the camera flashes and stuff)

i really didn't want the episode to end, one because i thought it was really good, & two because that meant i had to go back to writing a paper. um.

Yes! That's exactly what I thought, especially the fight at the end. The cut was very abrupt, and I even commented out loud to my RL friend that it was poor segue from commercial break back to fight (the cut from fight to commercial break, with Dean's fist coming at the camera was great).
Haha, I have so much work I'm putting off right now. I have five weeks left of school, though. I can't work up the effort to do the work yet. SADFACE.

Nah, hon - it's all good. My writing!fu is brokeded too, so don't feel bad about getting my hopes up... *sniff*
=P
Yeah, so I started off as a total Deangirl, too. Then BUaBS and Heart happened and - alas! - the chest of doom weaved it's evil spell on me and Lo! For there goes a newly formed Samgirl! Freshly broken and newly converted! \o/
Only on mute though. I'd watch Dean without the picture just to hear the morning-after-a-carton-of-beer-and-4-packets-of-cigarettes voice... *flailty flail*

Oooh, I'm going to go dig out my S2 DVDs and revel in the Sam-ness. And then I'll watch Mystery Spot and revel some more. You know, it was probably telling that my favorite episode ever is a Sam episode (not that I don't have a Dean episode, IMToD, in my top episodes as well, but yeah. SAAAAAMMMEH).

Absolutely. I could listen to Jensen Ackles read the phone book and I would be A-OKAY with that.
